Partner Compensation: Defining the New Normal
Course Description:
Is your firm using compensation practices that make sense in this post-recessionary period?
A recent industry survey found that law firms are being much more careful about partner compensation. Some firms are even de-equitizing partners to pump up firm profits. Gone are the days when partners could rely on built-in pay raises.
In fact, industry experts predict that even if your firm maintains adequate revenue stability or realizes some growth, it’s still likely that most partners will see their compensation lower, stagnate or rise at a much lower rate than during the last decade.
So, what are firms to do?
Course Highlights:
During this comprehensive audio conference our expert faculty will discuss new criteria to consider when making partner compensation decisions, including:
- Key trends in partner compensation for 2011
- Common and uncommon compensation plan options (merit, lockstep, combo plans and more)
- Who should evaluate performance and pay?
- Ways to assure that compensation plans match firm culture
- Implementation tactics to make effective long term changes
