LinkedIn for Lawyers: Maximizing this Business Building Tool

Course Description:

LinkedIn is the largest and fastest growing professional social network on the Web today. In fact, it took a mere nineteen days to grow from 1 million to 20 million members.

To date, more than 250,000 attorneys are utilizing LinkedIn as one of the newest and most effective tools available to help build their books of business.

Savvy firms that recognize how highly connected the millennial Generation Y is, are taking advantage of this very important asset of their young associates.  In fact, according to a recent LMA survey, “in any business, such as law, that depends on networks, referrals and relationships to generate revenue, it isn’t a stretch to say that when you hire someone today, you hire his or her network.”

So what’s in it for you?  LinkedIn has a multitude of networking opportunities, focused law groups and connection tools to make a lawyers life easier and more profitable.  Yet, like any development tool it does have its downside.  But if utilized correctly LinkedIn can become a very effective and efficient network-building tool for you and your firm.

In this 75-minute audio conference CCM’s expert faculty will show you how to get the most out of your LinkedIn membership.  You’ll learn how to use LinkedIn to:

  • communicate with other firms and attorneys,
  • collaborate, network, recruit and pursue educational opportunities, and
  • help develop your book of business.

By the end of this indispensable session, you’ll also know how to:

  • Build a connection base
  • Add your firm’s profile to the mix
  • Take advantage of the best configuration settings for lawyers and firms- public vs. private
  • Optimize business building opportunities through LinkedIn
  • Use LinkedIn for lawyer recruitment
  • Determine which LinkedIn groups add value and why
  • Utilize LinkedIn ‘answers’ and ‘virtual referrals’
