Law Firm Leadership for the “New” Normal: Are You Prepared?
Course Description:
The “new” normal has become the catch phrase for the fundamental shift in the legal marketplace — new business models, new staffing models, new value propositions — and the new roles leadership and management teams need to meet the challenges and changes taking place.
While most firms recognize the entire industry is transitioning and thus change is required, a much more difficult issue is how to carefully and strategically align the business professionals with new firm strategies to meet changing industry expectations.
CoursE highlights:
In this comprehensive webinar, three thought leaders, who have worked in the legal industry for more than three decades in business, client relationships, talent management, leadership training and succession planning, will review and discuss the critical first steps in this process, namely:
- Developing leadership criteria for the various roles,
- Determining whether or not firms have the leaders to navigate their way through the transition,
- Committing to training, leadership succession planning and accountability on the part of all firm members, and
- Hiring and/or developing well-trained business professionals who encourage and celebrate diversity of thought, opinion and expertise.
During this information-packed session, our expert faculty will also explore:
- How to meet the new challenges head on and steer your firm to future success
- Lessons learned from recent law firm dissolutions
- New and emerging business models for law firms and the consequent leadership skills needed and gaps identified to date
- New, different and emerging leadership roles and teams needed to lead these different types of businesses
- New approaches to leadership development, training and succession planning
