Law Firm Leadership and Management Essentials
Course Description:
“The Times They Are a Changing.” These lyrics have never been more applicable then they are today for law firms across the globe.
The economic downturn has altered the legal marketplace. Leading firms have dissolved, clients are savvier shoppers, billing methods are no longer set in stone, and competition is fierce. Law firm leaders have no choice but to react. They need to rethink the way their firms operate in order to successfully guide their firms through the current market challenges. Yet many are challenged, even uncertain about exactly what to do.
Leadership skills aren’t taught in law school and they’re not acquired by excelling at the practice of law. These skills come from hands on experience and by learning valuable lessons from those who have faced and handled similar responsibilities.
In this critical audio conference, our expert faculty will provide managing partners and other key law firm leaders with the framework for developing an understanding of the crucial elements of law firm leadership.
During this must-attend event you will learn critical leadership lessons used by some of the most successful law firms in the world, including:
- Best practices for responding to current market challenges and ideas for turning them into opportunities
- Why you need to consider new pricing, staffing, and service delivery strategies
- Key techniques to clarify priorities and objectives
- How law firms have evolved and what the future might hold
- Best methods for gaining a real understanding (and delivering) what clients want
- How to optimize firm strategy by choosing the right strategic drivers
- Ways to manage staff with retention in mind (meet the need of associates)
- Getting ready for successful succession…who will step up and how will the process be managed?
