Bob has deep experience in integrating e-discovery processes and leads V3locity® - Huron’s end-to-end e-discovery solution, encompassing processing, hosting, document review and production. Steven Berrent, Managing Director, WilmerHale Discovery Solutions
Steven Berrent is the managing director of WilmerHale Discovery Solutions. His primary responsibilities include leading the firm’s efforts with respect to developing and implementing strategies and staffing models for the management of complex litigation/controversy matters with specific emphasis on e-discovery, document review and bringing added value to WilmerHale clients through WilmerHale Discovery Solutions. He joined the firm in 2008.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Berrent was the director of Litigation Services at another firm in New York, where he managed more than 100 paralegals, legal technologists, case managers and staff attorneys. He also advised clients, attorneys and case teams on issues relating to electronic documents, e-discovery and information management. Previously, Mr. Berrent was an associate at a firm in New York, where he was a member of the Electronic Discovery Task Force and worked on complex commercial litigations, arbitrations and investigations in diverse industries.
Mr. Berrent has worked as the Director of Information Technology for Vice President Al Gore’s presidential campaign, where he designed, implemented, and maintained computer networks and related technologies for the campaign and advised the Vice President and staff on information technology issues, solutions and strategy.

Robert Brownstone, Technology & eDiscovery Counsel, and Co-Chair, Electronic Information Management Group , Fenwick & West LLP
Mr. Brownstone advises clients on electronic discovery, electronic information management, retention/destruction policies and protocols, information-security and privacy. He also collaborates with clients as to computer solutions enabling compliance with legal obligations.
A nationwide speaker and writer on many law and technology issues, Mr. Brownstone is frequently quoted in the press as an expert on electronic information. He also teaches Electronic Discovery classes at the University of San Francisco School (USF) of Law and Santa Clara University School of Law.
He is a member of: four state bars (including California and New York); the Information Systems Auditing and Control Association (ISACA); and the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA). Mr. Brownstone is also the Chair of the executive committee of the State Bar of California's Law Practice Management and Technology (LPMT) Section.
He serves on the Advisory Board of the National Employment Law Institute (NELI) and on the Board of Editors of ALM’s Internet Law & Strategy newsletter. In 2006, Mr. Brownstone was named a Northern California Super Lawyer and featured in a cover story of ABA’s Law Practice Magazine.
Before joining Fenwick & West in 2000, Mr. Brownstone had a varied 13-year career as a litigator, law school administrator, law school teacher and consultant.
