E-Discovery: Best Practices and Management Principles Under the New FRCP Rules
Course Description:
As an attorney today, you’re faced with an explosion of discoverable information – text, images, calendar files, databases, spreadsheets, audio files, animation, Web sites, and computer programs — all of which can be secured and investigated.
And although the recently amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) addresses the unique challenges electronically stored information (ESI) presents to both firms and corporate counsel, the decisions interpreting the new rules have raised more questions then they’ve answered.
Join CCM in this must-attend audio program to find out how to stay on top of the rapidly changing world of electronic records, discovery and evidence under the FRCP. Get a glimpse into how the new rules have really affected legal counsel one year later. And, in just 75-minutes, our legal expert will address:
- The 2006 e-discovery law and emerging standards: keeping on top of the changes
- How to respond to electronic discovery obligations with cost-effective solutions
- Principles and best practices for retaining and discarding ESI
- How to create or revise document retention policies and procedures
- Practical organizational policies for the management of email communication
- Techniques to develop clear communications among attorneys, business professionals, and IT personnel
- Effective strategies to find e-discovery tools and vendors that are right for you.
