Business Development Training: Transforming Associates into Rainmakers
Course Description:
How do you identify and develop associates who can beef up the firm’s bottom line and bring in new clients?
The legal market is down, revered law firms have dissolved, and good lawyers let go. Yet, some attorneys are growing their practices by bringing in new business and clients and, in some cases, expanding practice areas despite this economic climate.
In the past, client development was not viewed as the responsibility of young lawyers, but in the new dog-eat-dog world of law, firms must identify and develop rainmakers early on. In fact, some firms have gone so far as to require sales experience for new associates.
Discover the best methods for molding associates and releasing their rainmaking potential in this must-attend CCM audio conference. During this critical event, you will learn:
- How to identify those rainmaking superstars
- Key skills to focus on to pump-up associates business development
(I.e. - networking, partner participation and alliance building)
- Methods for communicating (and incentivizing) the importance of business development to associate success
- New options for making business development a requirement for certain associate tracks
During this must-attend event, you’ll also learn:
- When and how much business development training per year is enough
- How to avoid those common mistakes that can sabotage marketing efforts
- Business development dos and don'ts for every associate and partner
- Steps to take to create a successful business development strategy for new lawyers
