Lean For Lab Success: Using Quality Improvement to Increase Efficiency & Unlock Major Gains
Course Description:
Labs all over the globe are leveraging Lean methods to turbocharge the organization’s performance. Leading hospitals, pioneering independent labs, and top-performing pathology groups are gaining competitive advantage by utilizing this fast growing trend in laboratory management.
Let CCM and our faculty experts show you how to optimize specimen flow, boost productivity, reduce turn-around time, and improve overall clinical and operational efficiency in this must-attend audio program.
Learn how the Lean philosophy and tool set can help you to improve crucial performance metrics and quality, and how taking the steps to implement a Lean laboratory design now will support Lean operations for years to come.
In just 75 minutes, you’ll learn how your lab can unlock the powerful benefits of the Lean methodology, including:
- Best practices for implementing Lean methods
- Identifying and eliminating non-value added waste (e.g., delay and rework) to improve productivity
- Techniques to stabilize workflow and reduce turnaround times
- Standardizing, balancing and error-proofing your processes
- When physical layout changes are warranted and best practices for implementation
- Identify specific pitfalls and avoid the predictable potholes that can derail quality improvement
You’ll also get the answers to your specific questions in the live Q&A session following the presentation.
