Compensation Planning: Maximizing Total Remuneration
Course Description:
How do your rewards compare with those of other organizations? Are they competitive enough to attract and retain top talent? Are they too high, squeezing an already tight budget? Do you have the right mix of cash, benefits, paid time off, etc. to appeal to a diverse workforce?
More and more organizations realize that it’s no longer enough just to manage and communicate base salaries. Understanding and communicating the value of all components in the compensation package is essential to achieve the maximum return on your rewards investment.
With some benefit costs growing at twice the rate of inflation your biggest challenge today is maximizing the value your job candidates and employees receive from their rewards, because:
- employees demand the best benefits AND competitive cash;
- the market demands competitiveness; and
- business survival demands affordability
Find out why a total remuneration approach to designing, delivering, and communicating compensation is essential to:
- attracting, retaining, and motivating employees,
- managing ever-rising benefits costs, and
- achieving maximum return on your reward investments.
Join CCM and Mercer in this invaluable audio conference where you’ll learn:
- Why total remuneration as the measure of the financial components of rewards is so important
- Criteria for successfully analyzing total remuneration
- Steps to choosing an appropriate peer group for competitive analysis
- Differences between assessing rewards cost and value
- Why total remuneration is not equal to the sum of compensation and benefits individual components
- Balancing total remuneration with other rewards elements in crafting an attractive and affordable employee value proposition.
Finally, by the end of this 75-minute session, you’ll know how one of Mercer’s clients is utilizing total remuneration to attract, retain and engage their employees; align their people with their business strategy; and maximize their return on investment rewards.
