Rehiring Former Employees: Maximizing the Benefits, Minimizing the Risks
Course Description:
Are you one of the 40 percent of employers that want to rehire some of the workers laid off in the recession? According to a new survey by OI Partners, you’re not alone.
Another recent survey by Robert Half International and CareerBuilder found similar results with 36 percent of hiring managers expressing interest in rehiring workers laid off by their firms.
Why? The reasons are plentiful:
- Former employees’ skills are known to employers,
- They fit into the company’s culture, and
- Managers still face the challenge of under-qualified job applicants.
Yet, chances are, you haven’t experienced rehiring former employees in your career. Potential emotional and organizational pitfalls are everywhere in this hiring scenario. But if handled correctly, the benefits to the organization can heavily outweigh any risks.
Find out how your organization can take advantage of the talented pool of personnel in this must-attend CCM audio conference. During this “from-the-trenches” event, you will learn how your organization can successfully rehire former employees, and minimize the risks involved, including:
