Payroll Fraud Prevention and Detection Techniques
Course Description:
Did you know companies lose an average of 5 percent of revenue each year to payroll fraud?
In fact, according to a recent study by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), 90 percent of occupational fraud cases go undetected. And of the remaining 10 percent, only 20 percent of those are detected by internal controls.
Find out how a proactive approach to preventing and detecting payroll fraud schemes can save you time, manpower, and most importantly, money.
In this critical CCM audio conference you’ll learn how to identify and prevent the different types of payroll fraud schemes, including:
1. ghost employee frauds
2. false wage claim frauds, and
3. false expense reimbursement frauds
By the end of this invaluable session, you’ll also know:
- How occupational fraud schemes can affect your bottom line
- Warning signs and red flags you need to watch out for
- How effective internal control systems can cut your losses and reduce the risk of fraud
- Key techniques to limit access to important information and still run a productive payroll department
- What information is necessary to maintain proper records in case you are the victim of a payroll fraud
