Ron Brand, Associate, Fisher & Phillips LLP, Irvine office
Ron Brand is an associate in the Irvine office. He represents employers in all
aspects of employment law in both state and federal courts, and before
administrative agencies, with an emphasis on unfair competition and trade
secrets litigation. Ron also drafts, and provides advice regarding,
employment, confidentiality, non-solicitation, non-compete, and trade
secrets agreements. Ron counsels employers on the Fair Credit Reporting
Act, the California Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act, and the
California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act. He also provides
preventive advice to clients on personnel issues, including employee
compensation and benefits, discipline and training, and the development of
policies and procedures to avoid employment claims and litigation. Prior to
joining the firm, Ron practiced civil, commercial, and employment litigation
in Illinois for more than four years. Ron served as Article and Note Editor for
the DePaul Business Law Journal (now known as the DePaul Business &
Commercial Law Journal). He also authored "Student Loan Fraud: Intent to
Deceive not Required Under Section 1097(a) of the Higher Education Act," 10 DePaul Bus. L.J. 63 (1997).
