Managing the Intergenerational Workforce: Taming Tensions between Gen Y, X, and Boomers
Course Description:
Take a good look around your office. Who's that cohabiting in the cubes outside your door? Boomers, X-ers and Y-ers. Looks peaceful out there, doesn't it? Don't bet on it.
Today’s organizations are riddled with generational tensions that lower morale, increase turnover and hobble the company’s ability to produce wins for the organization.
Join CCM in this must-attend audio program on best practices in coordinating the work styles and communication needs of an intergenerational workforce. Our expert faculty will provide you with key strategies to help minimize conflicts and miscommunication among the different age groups in order to get everyone working together.
In just 75 minutes, you’ll also learn how to:
- Identify and best manage generational differences
- Include cross-generational issues in your organization’s diversity training
- Utilize generational differences to help recruit and retain top talent
- Solve common cross-generational work issues
- Get Boomer and X-er managers to collaborate with their growing Gen Y staff
- Acknowledge and understand the unique strengths and weaknesses of each generation and identify the points of friction among them
- Retain and motivate high maintenance generations
- Incorporate integration techniques that enable the groups to work together effectively
