Form 5500 and EFAST2: Mandatory E-Filing Tips and Compliance Procedures
Course Description:
It's been a long time coming, but the DOL’s mandatory electronic filing system for Form 5500s (EFAST2) is finally here.
Effective January 1, 2010, all Form 5500s must be filled through the new EFAST2 (ERISA Filing Acceptance System). Paper filing will no longer be accepted for filings for the 2009 plan year.
EFAST2 may be the most significant reporting change since the inception of ERISA. So before you file, you need to be aware of the numerous changes to the 2009 Form 5500. You also need to understand the change in regulations for 403(b) plans related to Form 5500 filings and whether or not your plan requires an audit.
With this comprehensive audio conference on CD our expert faculty will provide you with:
- Step-by-step instructions that will help make your job of preparing and filing Form 5500 more efficient and more accurate.
- Answers to those tough questions that cause you to waste significant time in research and Form 5500 amendments.
- Tools to navigate the new electronic filing system and what to anticipate and prepare for when it comes to the new Schedule C.
