Flex Appeal: Making Work “Work” in a Down Economy
Tuesday, March 23,
2010 | 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM Eastern
Course Description:
How do smart employers make work “work” in a down economy?
As companies grapple with strained budgets, tight credit, waning demand for products and layoffs, flexible arrangements are holding steady. In fact, 94 percent of U.S. employers are maintaining or increasing the flexible work options they offer, even in these hard times.
In bad economic times, companies are forced to get creative to manage costs and keep morale high. You want to keep your people, and you want to keep them motivated now and during the recovery.
Of course, there are dangers for employers when managing a flexible workforce. Managers must be taught to manage based on results rather than by observation. Supervisors need the tools to monitor remote worker performance. And HR needs to mold policies that lower the risk of litigation, address safety issues and comply with wage and hour laws.
Learn how to reduce your organization's legal risks while creating a flexible work policy that’s a win-win for employers and employees. During this 75-miute audio conference our expert faculty will arm you with the tools you need to:
- Create compliant flexible work policies and procedures
- Identify weak areas within your existing policy
- Document flexible work arrangements to protect yourself from liability
- Avoid common FLSA pitfalls in managing a flexible workforce
Participants of this comprehensive event, will also learn:
