California Record-Keeping Requirements: Practical Strategies to Ensure Compliance and Protect Your Organization
Tuesday, October 18, 2011 | 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM Eastern
Course Description:
Employing in California? Then you’d better make sure you’re keeping accurate records and documentation.
California record-keeping regulations are the most stringent in the country and failure to keep proper records could cost employers thousands or possibly even millions of dollars in penalties.
In fact, if your documentation isn’t in order and you’re facing a claim from an employee, the courts will rule in the employee’s favor — not yours.
Record-keeping may not be most glamorous part of your job, but it can make or break your organization’s defense against lawsuits — in fact many times, it’s the only difference between an easily dispatched employee complaint and a devastating lawsuit or government audit.
