Cassandra H. Carroll, Senior Associate, Seyfarth Shaw LLP
Ms. Carroll is a senior associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Her practice focuses on defending employers against single and multi-plaintiff claims for discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, as well as against high exposure wage and hour class action claims arising under the California Labor Code. She also routinely handles wrongful termination, breach of contract, and other employment-related tort and contract claims.
Ms. Carroll’s experience includes litigation in both state and federal courts, including jury trials, private arbitration, and administrative agencies. Recently, she secured defense jury verdicts in the California Superior Courts in the counties of Contra Costa (June, 2008) and Los Angeles (February, 2009).
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Carroll also provides frequent counseling and advice to clients regarding a wide variety of laws affecting the employment relationship, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Labor Code, and other state and federal statutes. Ms. Carroll advises employers regarding workplace issues including internal complaints, workplace investigations, leaves of absence, and the interactive process. She also reviews employer policies for compliance under state and federal law, and she drafts and reviews employment contracts, severance packages, and arbitration agreements.
Justin T. Curley, Associate, Seyfarth Shaw LLP
Mr. Curley is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department in the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His practice is focused on employment litigation, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour and ERISA class action litigation. He also handles claims for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as employment-related tort and contract claims.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Curley provides day-to-day counseling and advice to clients about the various laws affecting the employment relationship, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, California Labor Code, Fair Labor Standards Act, and other state and federal statutes.
