Benefits of Benefits: Communicating the Value of Employee Benefits
Course Description:
Fact: Most employees grossly underestimate the value of their benefits package.
Fact: Employee benefits will only work to attract, retain and motivate staff, if your employees understand them and, crucially, value them.
Today’s HR or benefits manager faces an almost Herculean task of not only communicating benefit specifics to employees, but actually communicating the value of your benefits program.
The current economic climate has forced organizations to reduce staff, freeze salaries, cut-back on benefits, and in some cases, decrease employee’s base pay. Although nothing can completely erase the bad taste of a tabled bonus or merit increase, clearly communicating the value of your benefits program could help to increase job satisfaction and loyalty to the organization.
Yet, navigating the benefits minefield can be frustrating and baffling for your employees. They’re easily confused by all of the literature, the plan’s content and coverage options. And for HR pros, communicating the value (and minutia) of the details is easier said than done.
In this comprehensive “how-to-do-it” audio conference, you will learn best practice techniques and key strategies to help you:
- Take the confusion out of communicating the value, options and benefits of your employee benefits program,
- Increase the value of every benefit to every employee,
- Package your benefits program in order to maximize understanding, retention, and use, and
- Harness social, mobile, and other new technologies to engage today's employees and their families.
During this interactive session, CCM’s expert faculty will also help you to:
- Identify what motivates the different elements of today's increasingly diverse audience
- Determine which Employee Communications Method(s) of delivery are right for your organization
- Use technology to take it to the next level: how technology can enhance the communication and engagement of employee benefits
- Measure the ROI on your Employee Communication Programs
- Apply performance metrics to monitor workers' engagement and the program's impact on your bottom line
- Use data-based insights to segment, market and promote the value of your benefits program
